In addition to being a self-published author and blogger, Peter has spent many years teaching in and outside of church settings. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies with an emphasis in pastoral ministry from Life Pacific College and his Master of Arts in Teaching with an emphasis in the Social Sciences from George Fox University.
For the last twenty years, he has served in a variety of capacities in local churches. In his recent book Authentic Christianity: Why it matters for followers of Jesus, Peter opens up about his experience growing up in the church, getting heavily involved in church ministry only to discover that so much of what was modeled to him by the Christian culture of his church left him feeling isolated and pretending to be someone he was not. He writes about his journey confront his own pretenses and learn how to develop healthier relationships with others rooted in authenticity (including his relationship with God).
He and his beautiful wife Naomi are based in the Greater Seattle area.
